all shapes & sizes

Each one unique,
created with care by the Maker.

Plains Art Museum/Fargo, ND

Woe to him who strives with him
who formed him,
a pot among earthen pots!

Does the clay say to him who
forms it, 'What are you
making?'
or 'Your work has no handles?

reuse, recycle, REFRESH!

These are white poms from the last arrangement.
The greens were not looking so hot anymore, so...
I have found a way to make them last a little longer!

They still make me happy, how about you?

me versus the pull-up bar

Along with the previously mentioned addition of coconut oil to my diet
{yum} I have also sought out ways to shake up my exercise routine,
one of my not-so-favorites being the P90X dvd for Legs & Back.
{Note: I still use a chair to aid the process.} But, someday
I will be able to crank out the pull-ups all on my own.
Stay tuned for the moment of victory.
Have any of you already succeeded at this?
I retain the utmost respect for you!

an unusual use for a usual thing

The following photo has been
sitting quietly in my iphoto.
Until one day...

I saw something that inspired
me to dig it out and show you!

hutch-a-licious

I'm very pleased with my latest craigslist find--an Antique Hutch--built around 1900.
I realize the value may be officially decreased because of the paint, but I LOVE it!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder;
hence, 'value' is a relative term, no?

This vintage piece was redesigned by a couple from Littleton, CO.
One can see more of their work at a Paris Street Market
held at Aspen Grove every first Saturday, May thru October,
or in Boulder every second Saturday, June thru September.
I happened to get this particular piece for a steal, as they like
to keep their inventory fresh and tend to off-load from
time to time on craigslist! Lucky me!
...love the vintage lock & key.

Now my pottery collection has a proper home.
...and I had fun with the top shelf.
It also creates a lovely backdrop for my latest flower arrangement!

serendipitous

Great graphic print.
Even better price.
I feel like I cheated!
I am so ridiculously excited about these new pillows.

trying my hand at flower arranging

Simple white poms and greens.
Straight glass vase wrapped with
tissue paper & twine.
Makes me happy.

'brilliantly' repurposed lighting

I only wished I had thought of this before throwing away all the similarly awesome old globes we found in the basement of our 1917 craftsman-style house!

Totally modern.
Completely natural.
Love. Love. Love it.
