Charlotte's room...a.k.a. our guest room was in need of some love.
I do love how everything is looking now.
Even with the drastically white walls, which somehow look fresh and bright.
I wanted to create an old book paper art piece {inspiration}
above the bed. I found some wooden tacks that keep it looking natural.
The letters 'S', 'H', and 'E' just happened to be the chapter
headings from the old children's book I found.
These two little tiny frames are adorable to hold pics of my two
precious nieces Norah & Harriet.
Next is the bookshelf Jon built a couple of years ago,
inner boxes painted a fantastic mustardy yellow.
You also get a glimpse of another great find-- A little blue
glass frame for my other sweet niece, Harper.
For Charlotte's baby pic, I revamped an old frame by painting it white.
...Still on the lookout for cloth bins for inside some of the shelves.
A shade of grey or brown, or perhaps some grass cloth would look perfect.
I love my duvet & shams {West Elm} that pull everything together.
In our next house, I hope we have more than two bedrooms.
In that case, Charlotte's room will hopefully be her dream room.
Until then, she has to share--sunny guest room with a girlish twist.

Candace this looks so wonderful! I absolutely love the mustardy yellow in the book shelf. That duvet is amazing and the nightstand door removal was a very good idea! The artwork is my favorite I think of all. Super original and creative. Very cool!
Candace I ADORE what you've done!! The colors are absolutely perfect and I totally agree with Courtney on the artwork. I am so impressed! (And how about a long-distance consult on N and H's GirlCave? I could use some professional help!!)
Oh! Thanks Courtney & Betsy! Betsy, you have an artful eye, you don't need help, but if you want a collaborator, YOU GOT ONE! I'd LOVE TO!
You have an awesome sense of style. That artwork is very cool!!
